AKA: Eden's Mommy
My life is a story about who God is and what He does in a human heart. There’s nothing small or inconsequential about our stories. There is, in fact, nothing bigger. And when we tell the truth about our lives—the broken parts, the secret parts, the beautiful parts—then the Gospel comes to life, an actual story about redemption.
— Shana Niequist

Hello there, friend.

Welcome to my little space where I tell stories.

I'm a writer who isn't worried about where the comma goes as much the depth of soul I pour in my writings. At 24 years old,  my husband & I found out that we may never have biological children & walked for many years with our companion, infertility. I write about that topic a lot as you will see below.

I believe story has the power to change lives. Stories move me. They make me see the hand of a good Father directing and guiding even when I do not know. So I am taking the risk - the risk of telling our story - with the beauty and pain all clumped together. I have learned the broken places have to be touched in order to be found whole again.  I am writing the broken parts of our story to give Him the opportunity to put all the pieces together and show His glory. Who knows, maybe by being brave to share, one more will find the courage to share their own story & we can look each other in the eye and say, "me too."

\\ One day Sarah Bessey read my blog & commented. Cue my Oprah ugly cry. //
